The Optimist Lambs series is held in the spring.
Optimist Swallows series is held in the autumn.
Every club needs maintenance, and your club is no exception. All club members are expected to attend at least one workparty each year. These are normally held on Saturdays from 10:00 until 16:00 with lunch provided.
The Autumn series of club races takes place on Sundays during September, October and November, see the calendar for the exact dates. To qualify for the series prizes you need to have three starts recorded over the 13 week span of the series.
There are two main races each Sunday, the first is at 10:30 and the second at 12:30. Sailing in the Autumn is very comfortable as the water retains some warmth for quite a while.
The Summer series of club races takes place on Sundays during June, July and August, see the calendar for the exact dates. To qualify for the series prizes you need to have three starts recorded over the 13 week span of the series.
There are two main races each Sunday, the first is at 10:30 and the second at 12:30. In addition there is an afternoon race that is taken at a more relaxed pace. This is intended to help those new to racing to find out about the start and finish procedures in a relaxed manner.
