Wraysbury's Open Meetings

During Open meetings all normal club sailing, series races and cruising is suspended.

Solo Open 2013

Sunday – 9th June 2013

  1. Organising Authority: The organising authority is Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club

  2. Rules: Racing will take place under the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of the RYA, the appropriate class rules and the sailing instructions of the event.

  3. Entry Criteria: The Regatta is an Open Event for Solo Class dinghies.

  4. Entry Fee: There will be an entry fee of £10 per boat.  Entries will be made on the Official Entry Form on the day of the Regatta.

  5. Registration: Registration will be from 09.30 on the 9th June 2013.

  6. Briefing: There will be a briefing for all competitors at 10.30 at Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club.

  7. Schedule of Races: It is intended to hold 3 races. The earliest race start shall be no earlier than 11.00. The organisers intend to start subsequent races around 1.30 and 3.00 pm.

  8. Scoring System: Scoring will be in accordance with RRS Appendix A using the low point system.  If 3 races are completed there will be one discard, and if 2 or less races are completed then all races to count.

  9. Sailing Instructions: Sailing Instructions will be available from Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club on the day of the Regatta.

  10. Prizegiving: The prize giving will be held as soon as possible after the last race of the series.

  11. Insurance: Competitors are required to hold third party insurance for racing of at least £2,000,000.

  12. Location: Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club is located on a gravel pit between J13 or J14 on the M25 and J5 on the M4 (http://www.wlsc.org.uk/ee/index.php/site/location).

  13. Facilities: We have car parking, changing rooms, and a bar.

  14. Galley: The galley will be open for hot food during the day.
