During Open meetings all normal club sailing, series races and cruising is suspended.
More details
Wraysbury Clubs' Handicap
Each year a meeting is held at one of the three clubs around Wraysbury village, Wraysbury Lake, Kingsmead and BA Silver Wing. The race is based on a 90 minute handicap race and the top six boats from each club count towards the points. If you have not attended an Open meeting yet here’s a nearby and friendly way to try sailing against others on a different water.
It is normally held on a Saturday shortly after easter and the location and organsiation responsibility rotates around the three clubs.
Annual General Meeting
The club’s Annual General Meeting and prizegiving is normally held on, or close to, the second Sunday in February. The officers report on the past year’s events, put forward the plans for the coming year and present the annual accounts. There are opportunties for questions. This AGM is also the AGM of the limited comany that holds the club’s legal titles and contracts on behalf of the members.
After the main business the prizes for all the annual and seasonal racing events, plus a number of special prizes, are awarded. Time to collect your silver and glassware.
