| Nothing lasts for ever, especially in a marine environment. This time it was the race hut roof. |
The Race Hut Roof
It had been showing signs of age over the winter. So, one summer's day, Tony Smith and Charles Salkield, under the direction of Rear Commodore John Dawes, replaced it. |
Not a day too soon, as the following day we had the heaviest July rainfall for years, over two inches in as many hours! |

A breezy March day
The forecast was for 16 mph winds, that's about a fresh Force 4. In the event the anemometer was showing 20 knots (Force 5) with gusts up to 30 (Force 7). Exciting stuff!! |
